There must be no sting in the tail for west coast fishermen

6.17.42pm GMT Fri 4th Dec 2009

Commenting on the announcement that West Coast fishing boats could be exempted from days at sea restrictions, Liberal Democrat Fishing spokesperson Liam McArthur MSP said:

“This is good news. The strength of the argument put by the SFF and others in the industry has been compelling for some time.

“It is now up to Scottish Ministers to work with their UK counterparts in marshalling support among the other member states to ensure that there is no sting in the tail when this comes to be voted on.”
